  • How do I book one of your bikes?
    You are easily able to book online in three easy steps. Go to the booking page Select your preferred dates and time. Pay the fee with a credit/debit card Your bike(s) are then reserved and all you need to do is turn up on the day and show one form of identification (drivers license/passport/utility bill). Sign the terms and conditions form.
  • Do you take a deposit?
    In certain instances we do take a security deposit of £90 which is fully refundable on the bikes return. The deposit is taken to cover the cost of damage that may be sustained during the course of your hire. All transactions are processed by 'Stripe' a secure and authorised payment provider.
  • Can you deliver and collect the bikes ?
    We can deliver the electric bikes if hired for 2 days or more. Delivery charge starts from £10 depending on the delivery address and postcode.
  • Can I cancel my booking?
    Unless we are able to re-hire the bike within your notice to us and the hire date, we are unable to offer a refund.
  • Will I be shown how to ride the bike?
    There will be a handover and demonstration when you pick up your bike so that you feel comfortable and in control. If you can ride a conventional bike then you should be OK riding an electric bike. However, to keep yourself safe and others, you must understand and comply with UK traffic laws and the Highway Code at all times.
  • Do I need to wear any special clothing or accessories?
    We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing that is appropriate for the weather conditions. Every booking includes a bicycle helmet that you can use and a high visibility vest that we also recommend you use. The roads and lanes on Anglesey are safe but can get busy during certain months.
  • How fast can the electric bike go?
    Electric bikes can be set up differently and dependent on battery power and pedal power means speeds will vary. The average cyclist can reach 7.5-9.3 mph from pedalling using their own weight. E-bikes in the UK have a maximum speed of 15.5 mph which is more than fast enough for most to enjoy a safe and leisurely cycle ride.
  • How safe is it to ride an electric bike?
    As with any activity there is a certain amount of risk and cycling a bike is no different. You will just need to take sensible precautions such as wearing a bicycle helmet. Be vigilant on the roads, lane and tracks and courteous to other users. Take care and you will have an enjoyable experience on an electric bike.
  • Which bike will suit me and how tall do I have to be?
    Our bikes are step through leisure bikes perfect for all genders. If you are between 5"2 and 6"2 then you should have no problem riding our electric bikes safely. If you are smaller or taller then contact us and we might be able to allocate an alternative bike. If you arrive and your party includes guests outside of the height or age criteria they will not be able to ride and refunds can't be made.
  • How old do you need to be to book your electric bikes?
    You need to be eighteen or over to sign our booking form. Legally you have to be 14 years or older to ride an electric bike. You do not need a license to ride one just a sense of fun.
  • COVID-19 response?
    The world has changed and many things have been considered to accommodate a new way of living. Here at Anglesey Electric Bike hire we believe the safety and well-being of our riders are our top priority. Rest assured that we have put the following in place to make your experience of hiring a bike with us is as hygienic and safe as possible. Cycling helmets and high visibility vests are all sanitised before they are given to you All our bikes are cleaned thoroughly after each booking Alcohol based sanitiser available at pick up and drop off point. Please sanitise your hands before and after your ride.
